Is this the official Pearl wallet?
No. Pearl Safe is built by Extra Watts B.V. and is not affiliated with Pearl Research Labs. Your 12 words work in either wallet, so the choice is not permanent.
What is a passkey?
The thing your phone already uses when it asks for your face instead of a password. Here it holds one of the three parts of your key, and releases it when you approve a payment.
Do you need my email?
Yes, at setup. It is the factor we check before releasing your recovery part, and it is used for nothing else. You can skip it, and then recovery is not set up.
Has it been audited?
Not yet. An independent audit is required before mainnet, and the app stays on testnet until it passes. Until then the word “audited” appears nowhere on this site.
What if you shut down?
Export your 12 words and load them into the official Pearl desktop wallet. We cannot move your money while we exist, and that does not change if we stop.
What does it cost?
Nothing. You pay the Pearl network’s fee when you send, and that goes to the network. No subscription, no cut of your payments.
